Tom Kerr

Tom qualified in dentistry at The University of Sheffield in 2001

and has spent his entire professional career in Lytham St.Annes, the past decade being at Woodlands Dental where he has found a natural home for his skills. 

Tom has spent his career adapting and enhancing his knowledge and skills based on the clinical needs of his patients. In  particular Tom enjoys searching for the simplest solutions for his patients, having carefully ascertained their treatment priorities and applies the Platinum Rule to his practice ‘do onto others as they would have done onto them’.

Whilst like all dentists Tom is constantly updating his clinical knowledge based on current evidence, Tom also enjoys learning and applying knowledge gained from reading about pain theories, neuroscience, breathing techniques, philosophy and psychology to enhance the holistic treatment of his patients.

In his spare time Tom enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters and his annual springtime pilgrimage to the family sheep farm in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. He also enjoys his annual cycling holidays in Europe, golfing at Royal Lytham and St. Annes Golf Club, and supporting Liverpool Football Club.
